When Kelli and Jared approached us at BBM Construction, they had a clear vision for their home at 10 Taupo Road, Green Bay in New Zealand. As a young couple with a growing family, they wanted to breathe new life into their space. Their main goal was to create an open, contemporary living area that seamlessly blended the lounge and kitchen, while also updating the outdated bathroom and laundry spaces. They entrusted us to bring their vision to life, and we were determined to exceed their expectations.

The heart of the project was the transformation of the living space. Kelli and Jared dreamed of removing the load-bearing walls that divided the lounge and kitchen, allowing for a more fluid and functional layout. Our team meticulously planned the renovation, ensuring structural integrity while maximizing space utilisation. Despite the challenges, we successfully opened up the space, creating a modern, inviting environment that perfectly suited their needs.

In addition to the living area, we framed out a new bathroom and laundry space. This involved careful consideration of the layout to optimize functionality and meet the family's requirements. We paid attention to every detail, from the placement of fixtures to the choice of materials, ensuring a cohesive and stylish design that complemented the rest of the home.

Another key aspect of the project was the redesign of the entryway. Kelli and Jared wanted a more welcoming and functional entrance, complete with stairs, a front door, and column features. We worked closely with them to bring their vision to life, enhancing both the aesthetics and functionality of the home's exterior.

Throughout the project, we encountered several challenges that tested our skills and expertise. One of the biggest hurdles was maintaining the functionality of the kitchen and bathroom areas during the renovation process. With a young family, it was essential to minimize disruption and ensure they could continue to use these spaces comfortably. Through careful planning and coordination, we were able to achieve this, keeping the inconvenience to a minimum.
